Dear friends,
There's less than a week left before we fly across the Atlantic Ocean and into the music venues of Holland. It's a very exciting time for me and for the rest of the members of Venice and Ven-ish:
-My children and my brother Tom will see Holland for the first time.
-Venice will play a sold out show in Amsterdam in the middle of Mark, Kipp and Pat's sold out European tour with Roger Waters.
-Tom Lennon and Charlie Vaughn will have brand new CD's available at the shows, both of which were produced by me and include many special guests.....most of them Lennons!
-Venice will also have a PAL version of the "Live in Hollywood - 1990" DVD available during this tour.
- I'm thrilled to announce that Jamie Wollam will stay in Holland after the Venice show in Amsterdam and join Ven-ish for all 6 of our shows, playing drums and percussion. This will free me up from having to remain seated while playing foot drums, playing guitar and singing all at the same time. I'll be free to roam the stage and rock the house....even if I'm playing banjo! Also, Nick Bult might stop by a show or two......... or three.
- Mark, Kipp and Pat have been able to arrange to stay in Holland a day longer so that they can come and see the Ven-ish show at the Melkweg in Amsterdam on April 12th.
If all of that wasn’t already exciting enough, how about this? My new record label, Lennon Records, is finally official, and our brand new website is up and running. Run, don’t walk, to www.lennonrecords.net to hear audio of Ven-ish, get Ven-ish tour date info, photos, videos, links, etc. Please sign the email list. I’ll only send out mails for special announcements.....not all the time!
If you can’t make a show, you can order Tom and Charlie’s new CDs at www.lennonrecords.net. Or if you’re anxious to hear these CDs and you don’t want to wait, you can download both albums as MP3 files right now. Follow the links at www.lennonrecords.net underneath the heading, “Links and other stuff.” If you learn all the songs, you can sing them along with us at the shows!
If you don't yet have your tickets for Ven-ish, there's still time. We're 9 tickets away from a sellout in Utrecht. This will be the second sellout of the tour........very exciting!
Again, I want to thank you all for supporting this new adventure of mine. You all told me, "When one door closes, another one opens," and you were right. This Ven-ish tour would not be possible without your support. I look forward to seeing you all and sharing this new adventure with you.
